Organizations worldwide are looking for networking experts who are trained for the latest technologies in order to optimize their networks. To remain competitive and succeed as you pursue your career, proper training is essential for extending your knowledge and strengthening your professional options. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) program that addresses the growing demand worldwide for more trained computer networking professionals. The Cisco Network Support Certification track is designed for professionals working with traditional Cisco-based networks that predominantly include LAN and WAN routers and LAN switches. Expertise in this area will enable you to:

CCNPs have the expertise required to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot more complex Cisco-based networks that encompass LAN/WAN routing and LAN switching.

Why should you become a CCNP
As a networking professional, you will cultivate industry-supported skills and credentials that you will be able to transfer to future employment opportunities. With your CCNP certification, you will be able to demonstrate and promote the fact that you have the necessary skills to do your job effectively and you are certified by the leader in Network Technologies.

What are the Prerequisites & for CCNP
Prior to CCNP course, the applicants have to know Networking Technologies and complete the CCNA Certification. Basic knowledge of networking and TCP/IP is required. An applicant without the above knowledge will find it very difficult to proceed.
CCNP® Exam Requirements, CCNP® Routing & Switching Certification

Cisco Certified Network  Professionals are required to pass three exams that provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise. These exams are developed with the input of professionals in the industry and reflect how Cisco products are used in organizations throughout the world. The exams are administered by Pearson Vue,  an independent testing organization, with locations worldwide.

The Implementing Cisco IP Routing (ROUTE 642-902) is a qualifying exam for the Cisco Certified Network Professional CCNP®, Cisco Certified Internetwork Professional CCIP®, and Cisco Certified Design Professional CCDP® certifications. The ROUTE 642-902, 120 minutes (45 - 55 questions) exam will certify that the successful candidate has the knowledge and skills necessary to use advanced IP addressing and routing in implementing scalable and secure Cisco ISR routers connected to LANs and WANs.  The exam also covers configuration of secure routing solutions to support branch offices and mobile workers.

Implementing Cisco IP Switched Networks (SWITCH 642-813, 120 minutes (35 - 45 questions)) is a qualifying exam for the Cisco Certified Network Professional CCNP®, and Cisco Certified Design Professional CCDP® certifications. The SWITCH 642-813 exam will certify that the successful candidate has important knowledge and skills necessary to to plan, configure and verify the implementation of complex enterprise switching solutions using Cisco’s Campus Enterprise Architecture.  The SWITCH exam also covers secure integration of VLANs, WLANs, voice and video into campus networks.

Troubleshooting and Maintaining Cisco IP Networks (TSHOOT 642-832) is a qualifying exam for the Cisco Certified Network Professional CCNP®, certification. The TSHOOT 642-832, 135 minutes (35-40 questions)  exam will certify that the successful candidate has important knowledge and skills necessary to plan and perform regular maintenance on complex enterprise routed and switched networks and to use technology-based practices and a systematic ITIL-compliant approach to perform network troubleshooting.
